Government Accountability to the People

The current political system allows decisions that contradict public interests, yet those responsible often face no real consequences. To address this, we demand: 1. Personal Accountability for Politicians and Public Officials – If decisions result in clear harm to society, the individuals responsible must face legal consequences. 2. A Direct Accountability Mechanism – Citizens must have the right to initiate political accountability through a referendum or other legal instruments. 3. Public Review and Transparency – The effects of major policy decisions must be periodically reviewed and publicly assessed to prevent abuse of power. We urge EU institutions and national governments to take immediate action to establish clear legal frameworks ensuring real accountability for decision-makers.
