A Future Europe is a Federal Europe

The security of Europe is at stake The war in Ukraine is a wake-up call for all of us. A communis opinio has slowly but surely developed that the defense spending of EU member states should be increased. Germany has already taken the first big step by spending an additional €100 billion and structurally budgeting 2% of GDP. Other EU countries cannot and will not lag. But this is still insufficient. The defense force of the USA is the No. 1 in the world because it is organized on a federal level. Questions Question 1. Do you think it is necessary for EU member states to increase their defense spending? Question 2. Do you think we should join forces within the EU in the field of a common defense, supported by a common foreign policy? Question 3. Do you think a scaling up of these common European interests is only justified if we first organize a better Political Union for it? Question 4. Do you think that a better Political Union can only exist by the grace of a democratic Constitution of, by and for the Citizens? When you have answered questions 1 to 4 with 'yes', then you actually choose for a federal Europe. Signing this petition is the obvious thing to do. Petition We, citizens of the European Union Declare that the present European Union, based on treaties, • Is incapable of taking political decisions in the pursuit of European interests • Is not able to guarantee the sovereignty of its Member States • lacks the clout to play a decisive role in world politics and is therefore incapable of guaranteeing the security of its inhabitants. Request that the ratification process of the European Constitution initiated by Federal Alliance of European Federalists (FAEF) be facilitated in order to bring about a federal Europe.
